Pierce Brosnan Honors Wife Keely on 23rd Anniversary: ‘My North, My South, My East and West’
Pierce Brosnan celebrated his 23rd wedding anniversary with wife Keely Shaye Brosnan in a heartfelt tribute. The 71-year-old actor marked the occasion with a touching Instagram post on Sunday, August 4.
“Happy 23rd anniversary my darling Keely,” Brosnan wrote. “My beautiful brown-eyed girl, my north, my south, my east and west. All my love, should I fall behind wait for me.”
Accompanying his sweet words, the former James Bond star shared a collage of photos of the couple over the years, including a nostalgic beach walk and a recent shot of them holding hands.
Keely also commemorated the day with a carousel of wedding photos, captioned “August 4th, 2001, Ashford Castle, County Mayo, Ireland.” She added, “✨You are the finest, loveliest, tenderest person I have ever known. FSF ✨ Happy Anniversary my love @piercebrosnanofficial ✨ Here’s to the next 23 years together. May they continue to be creative, adventurous, loving, inspiring, and joyful. ✨” Keely concluded with, “Time flies on love’s wings.”
Brosnan and Keely first met in 1994 at a party in Mexico, where she was working as a TV correspondent. Their first date, under the stars, was magical. “There were fireworks going off over our heads,” Keely told PEOPLE in 2001. “… We talked until 3 in the morning … he is an appealing man.”
The couple has two sons, Dylan, 27, and Paris, 23. Brosnan also has three children from his first marriage to Cassandra Harris, who died of cancer in 1991.
In December 2023, Brosnan reflected on their enduring love, telling Fox News, “We like each other a lot. We love each other a lot. And we’ve been down the road, and we’ve seen many, many hardships as families do, as we all do.”
